Latrigg - Lake District

For stunning views over Keswick and Borrowdale you can bag one of the easiest Wainwrights - Latrigg. We followed the Miles without Stiles route which is an accessible and dog friendly route; however not recommended for people operating their own wheelchairs due to steepness.

There is a small car park at the head of Gale Road where you begin your walk, You'll pass The Spa at Underscar, keep going until you reach the car park. In the summer months will get very busy so arrive early to get a parking space.

You can do a circular route past the summit of Latrigg, or you can walk the accessible path up and down from the car park to a view point with a bench. The perfect place for a cup of tea or a picnic.

It's an easy short walk with incredible views overlooking Skiddaw, Lonscale Pike and Blencathra, as well as Keswick and Borrowdale. There are no facilities, however it's a short walk and shouldn't take too long to complete before heading into the town of Keswick for a toilet and food stop.

On our way up we bumped into this gorgeous collie with huge ears!

This is an easy walk for all abilities with gorgeous views, the ground is well compacted so suitable for most dogs. However as usual be aware of changing weather in the Lake District.
